Microblading on the eyebrows is a type of permanent make-up in which eyebrow hairs can be finely marked into the skin with a microblade. It is particularly suitable for those who want their eyebrows to be beautifully shaped, defined and fuller. Each individual hair is hand-drawn by the artist and blended with the client's existing eyebrows. The microblading looks so real that you can hardly tell that pigmentation has been applied to the eyebrows.

The microblading appointment looks like this...

First, the microblading artist will discuss the client's style and taste and what type of eyebrows is desired.

Do you wear makeup every day or only on special occasions?

Next, your Fleek Ink artist will measure the perfect eyebrow shape for your face. This way, as a customer, you can see the final shape before permanent work is carried out.

Now the artist begins with the microblading, according to the drawing agreed with the customer. After the eyebrows are finished, pigment usually remains on the face. Our artist will then wipe away the remaining color with a cloth and you can then see your new eyebrows! Apart from some redness, the result is already very easy to see.

For most customers, one session is enough. However, depending on the type of skin, a second session may be necessary. It takes about 1.5-2 hours to conjure up perfect microblading/combi brows/ombré powder brows. Aftercare is then required, but your eyebrows should be fully healed within 30 days.
The second appointment (if necessary) can be arranged approximately 30 days after the first treatment. The 30 day healing period gives the pigments in the epidermis enough time to naturally peel off, allowing the color to settle into the skin. At the second appointment, your artist can see how your skin has taken on the color and will make any necessary corrections for you.

Normally the surface will heal within 10 days. After the first treatment, the color of the pigment will gradually lighten to around 20 to 40% lighter - depending on how well your skin accepts the pigment. Complete healing takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks.

Although microblading is suitable for most people, it is not possible for some. This category includes…

• Pregnant women or mothers who are breastfeeding

• Current fillers or Botox in the eyebrow area that were injected less than 2 weeks ago

• People suffering from pigment allergies, diabetes, skin diseases and rashes

• Currently having a viral infection or illness

• HIV/hepatitis sufferers

• Chemotherapy patients

• People with heart problems

• People taking acne medication

If you have a medical condition that does not meet the above conditions, but still suspect a problem, please let us know in advance to ensure that no problems arise due to your medical condition.

• Avoid intense sun exposure and tanning beds
• Do not take aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, omega-3 and ibuprofen 24 hours before treatment as it affects durability
• Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before treatment
• Do not drink coffee or caffeine on the day of treatment
• Avoid Botox, filters, chemical peels and laser treatments 2 weeks before treatment

• Avoid contact with water when eyebrows are done for about 10 days

• Avoid sleeping on your eyebrows

• Avoid intense sun exposure and tanning beds

• Allow the scabs to fall off naturally (peeling and scratching will cause scarring and discoloration).

• Avoid sweating

• Avoid long hot showers

• Avoid going swimming

• Avoid applying makeup or sunscreen to the treatment area

• Avoid rubbing, picking, or scratching the treatment area

• Do not apply makeup to your eyebrows

• Do not go to a swimming pool, hot tub, etc.

Failure to follow aftercare can result in pigment loss, discoloration, or infection. Please note that the color appears darker and more prominent immediately after the microblading treatment. As the eyebrows heal, the color becomes softer and more natural.

Everyone has a different pain threshold and has different levels of sensitivity to their eyebrows. In all of our microblading treatments we have not had an extreme reaction to pain. Some people compare it to plucking eyebrows.

You will complete the entire session in 2 hours. During your appointment, the artist will always advise you to make sure you understand her correctly. Most of the time is spent measuring and drawing symmetrical eyebrows to get the perfect shape. The actual microblading procedure takes about 45 minutes.

There are many techniques and methods for microblading and permanent makeup.

Microblading needs to be renewed every 1.5 – 2 years. The durability varies depending on the customer's skin condition. The durability of permanent make-up depends on many factors: what skin type you have (oily skin fades faster, dry skin lasts longer), the color of the pigment used, sun exposure and which skin care products you use.
